The Honda lift kits are used to raise the body of a car. They are routinely fixed in sport cars or motor cycles. These gadgets give sporting cars a muscle look. People have embraced car racing as a recreation thus require reliable cars with high speed. They use these spare parts to perform modifications on these cars. The modifications vary according to the distinctive taste. However, it is important to buy quality spare parts such as this brand for safety purposes. Experts are advised to use genuine and compatible spare parts to prevent breakdown.
Interested parties can ask for recommendations from the suppliers of this brand. There are dealers that have been given the mandate to supply this brand of goods. The procedure of installation can easily be understood by a mechanic. A client should hire the services of a professional when seeking to raise the body of a motor.
Experienced mechanics have the know-how of using this trademark to mount these parts in golf cars. They are capable of recognizing fake or genuine auxiliary parts which will help you avoid incurring additional cost. This means that they will use their knowledge to make sure that only genuine parts are used in your motor vehicle. In addition, there expertise will help to choose parts that are compatible with the car to be modified.
Fixing of suspension gears is highly involving and requires special knowledge and experience. Demand for these gears is ever growing in the car sporting industry. Most people who purchase these lifting gears are drivers who do the driving as a recreation. It is, therefore, advisable to buy these parts from a registered dealer shop to make your car have a muscle look.
The procedure is begun with raising the body of the motor. The body is lifted and suspended to a higher level. The level of rising depends on the size of tires that are going to be fixed. When raising the body a jack is used, and bolts are put on the springs of the motor. When they are, being fixed immense caution should be taken not to use a lot of pressure. If possible they should not be adjusted with welding or cutting.
Moreover, the diameter has to be measured on the space between the tires. This will determine the size of tires to be used on the sport car. Wide tires are very reliable in golf cars. The size of rims should march the tires to boost strength. This will enable your golf car mover faster than usual because of the circumference on the tire.
After the tires have been successfully fixed, they need to be aligned. The balancing of the motor is improved by this procedure. The wheels and the steering are carefully checked. Alignment reduces friction when the car is moving. This enables a driver to navigate a motor with ease even in high levels of speed.
Therefore, if you want to modify your golf car for a race, do not just pick any spare parts. This might cost you. Conduct an online research to get the best suspension gears. The Honda lift kits will be the most reliable for your car to participate in any race. They can withstand tension and are cheap.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) ? Elephant and Rhino poaching surged to record levels in 2011 and an increase in illegal tiger hunting makes the species' extinction a real near-term threat with only about 3,200 of the big cats left in the wild, according to a report commissioned by the World Wildlife Fund.
The report, launched Wednesday, found that illicit trade in wildlife is worth at least $19 billion a year with organized criminals viewing it as high profit and low risk because governments don't give it a high enough priority and haven't implemented an effective response.
Germany's U.N. Ambassador Peter Wittig, who hosted the launch, said strong demand and high prices for rhino horn and elephant ivory in particular have spurred poaching, which is an organized crime.
"2011 was the highest year on record for elephant poaching: ivory estimated to weigh more than 23 metric tons ? a figure that represents 2,500 elephants ? was confiscated in 2011," Wittig said. "And the illegal poaching of rhinos surged to a record high in 2011, with a final death toll of 448 rhinos in southern Africa alone."
He said this trend continued in 2012, with ivory prices up to $1,000 a pound and rhino horns up to approximately $30,000 per pound.
Wittig stressed that it isn't only rhinos and elephants that are at risk.
"There may be as few as 3,200 wild tigers left in the world ? and the increase in poaching makes extinction of tiger species a very real threat," he said.
According to the report, although illicit wildlife trafficking has a well-documented link to other forms of illegal trafficking, the financing of rebel groups, corruption and money laundering, "the issue is primarily seen as an environmental issue, which puts it low on governments' agendas."
They also called for governments to be held accountable for enforcing regulations on wildlife, including imposing sanctions where necessary, and a campaign to reduce demand for endangered species.
The World Wildlife Fund, known as WWF, and TRAFFIC, the wildlife trade monitoring network, called on governments to recognize the threat to their sovereignty posed by illegal wildlife trafficking and treat the crime "equally and in coordination with efforts to halt other forms of illegal trafficking, corruption and money laundering."
"Wildlife crime has escalated alarmingly in the past decade," said Jim Leape, director general of WWF International. "It is driven by global crime syndicates, and so we need a concentrated global response."
He said communities, often the world's poorest, lose the most from the illicit trade because families that depend on natural resources are losing their livelihoods while criminal gangs and corrupt officials rake in profits.
The report was produced for WWF by Dalberg Global Development Advisors, a strategic consulting firm that says it "works to raise living standards in developing countries and address global issues such as climate change."

WASHINGTON (AP) ? Nearly two-thirds of the world's population will live in cities by 2030, with most people middle class, connected by technology, protected by advanced health care and linked by countries that work together, perhaps with the United States and China cooperating to lead the way.
That's the best case scenario in a report, Global Trends 2030, released Monday by the U.S. government's National Intelligence Council.
In the worst case scenarios, rising population leads to conflict over water and food, especially in the Mideast and Africa, and the instability contributes to global economic collapse.
The study is the intelligence community's analysis of where current trends will take the world in the next 15 to 20 years, intended to help policymakers plan for the best and worst possible futures to come.
The report is broken down into what the National Intelligence Council calls megatrends that are likely to occur and game-changers ? the what-if's that are less certain but would be so significant that they can't be ignored.
Among the major trends: the rise of a global middle class that is better educated, connected via technology and healthier due to advances in medicine. Power will no longer reside with one or two key nations, but be spread across networks and coalitions of countries working together.
In countries where there are declining birth rates and an aging population like the U.S., economic growth may slow. Sixty percent of the world's population will live in cities.
Yet even with these advances, food, water and energy will be more scarce.
"Nearly half of the world's population will live in areas experiencing severe water stress," the report said. Africa and the Middle East will be most at risk of food and water shortages, but China and India also vulnerable.
Among the anticipated crises is the worry of global economic collapse, fighting among nations that don't adapt rapidly enough to change and the possible spillover of instability in the Mideast and South Asia to the rest of the world.
Technology is seen as a potential savior to head off some of this conflict, boosting economic productivity to keep pockets filled despite rising population, rapid growth of cities and climate change.
The report outlines several "Potential Worlds" for 2030.
Under the heading "Stalled Engines", otherwise known as the "most plausible worst-case scenario, the risks of interstate conflict increase," the report said. "The U.S. draws inward and globalization stalls."
In the most plausible best-case outcome, called "Fusion," the report said, "China and the U.S. collaborate on a range of issues, leading to broader global cooperation."
And under another heading, the report describes a world where "inequalities explode as some countries become big winners and others fail. ... Without completely disengaging, the U.S. is no longer the 'global policeman.'"
The report warns of the mostly catastrophic effect of possible "Black Swans," extraordinary events that can change the course of history. These include a severe pandemic that could kill millions in a matter of months and more rapid climate change that could make it hard to feed the world's population.
Two positive events are also listed, including "a democratic China or a reformed Iran," which could bring more global stability.
One bright spot for the U.S. is energy independence.
"With shale gas, the U.S. will have sufficient natural gas to meet domestic needs and generate potential global exports for decades to come," the report said.

LONDON/SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - British TV decoder maker Pace Plc said on Monday that it had made an early-stage proposal to Internet group Google Inc to acquire its set-top TV box maker Motorola Home.
"Discussions with Google are currently at a preliminary stage and there is no certainty as to whether any agreement regarding any transaction will be reached," Pace said in a statement.
The offer is one of several bids for the unit, including from private equity firms, that Google received on Friday, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Google acquired the set-top box maker as part of its $12.5 billion acquisition in May of Motorola Mobility, which was largely motivated by a desire to snap up its large portfolio of communications patents.
Since acquiring Motorola, Google has moved to revamp the company's loss-making mobile phone business, while appearing less interested in the set-top business.
"It's a fine business, it's just not core to Google," said Pivotal Research Group analyst Brian Wieser.
Motorola and Cisco Systems Inc's Scientific Atlanta dominate the U.S. market for cable television set-top boxes and for the back-end infrastructure that manages the transmission of video signals to the boxes, said Wieser.
He estimated that the Motorola's home business could fetch "in the billions" of dollars, depending on how the deal is structured, such as whether patents are included.
Arris Group, a cable equipment maker, also made a bid for the business, according to a report by Bloomberg. Arris Group and Google declined to comment.
Google, the world's No.1 Web search engine, has increasingly expanded into the hardware business as consumers turn from their personal computers to smartphones and other gadgets to access the Internet.
Google worked closely with companies such as Asus and LG Electronics to develop Nexus-branded smartphones and tablets that Google sells directly on its website. And Google has said it is shifting the emphasis at Motorola Mobility's phone unit from low-end phones to more innovative smartphones.
Some analysts had speculated that Google might use the Motorola set-top box business to help it gain a foothold in the living room, where its nearly three-year-old Google TV efforts have so far failed to make a huge splash with consumers.
"It seems like it would make sense to be able to integrate that into a set top box," said Needham & Co. analyst Kerry Rice, referring to Google TV.
But he said Motorola Home's customers - cable providers and telecommunications companies - were different than the advertising agencies and consumers that Google is accustomed to working with.
The Motorola Home business generated $797 million in revenue in the third quarter, according to Google's financial results, with $25 million in operating income.
Pace said its shares had been suspended from trading in London as the potential acquisition would be classified as a "reverse takeover" deal given the size of the acquisition relative to Pace.
A deal could help Pace recover from the three profit warnings it issued in 2011 due to natural disasters such as flooding in Thailand and the earthquake and tsunami in Japan that damaged the group's supply chain.
"Pace already has a somewhat stretched balance sheet, they have done a good job over the past 12 months to try to pay down that debt but how they would finance such a large acquisition is a question, but not an insurmountable one," said Numis Securities analyst Nick James.
Shares of Google were just a shade higher in Monday afternoon trading, up 80 cents, or 0.1 percent, to $685.01. ($1 = 0.6242 British pounds)

ScienceDaily (Dec. 6, 2012) ? Disgust -- it's an emotion we experience when we encounter things that are dirty, impure, or otherwise contaminated. From an evolutionary standpoint, experiencing the intense, visceral sense of revulsion that comes with disgust presumably helps us to avoid contaminants that can make us sick or even kill us. But new research suggests that disgust not only helps us to avoid impurities, it may also make us better able to see them.
If something looks dirty and disgusting, we typically assume it's contaminated in some way; when something is white, however, we are more likely to assume that it's clean and pure. Research has shown that people from many different cultures hold this association between lightness and purity, which may explain why we prefer white teeth, white operating rooms, and white porcelain bathroom fixtures.
"In the psychology of purity, even the slightest deviation from a pure state (i.e., whiteness) is an unacceptable blemish," observe psychological scientist Gary Sherman and his co-authors.
They hypothesized that if feeling disgust motivates people to create or protect pure environments, it may also lead them to prioritize the light end of the visual spectrum. For people trying to preserve cleanliness and purity, the ability to distinguish even slight deviations from a light shade like white may become particularly important.
Sherman, who is now at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and his co-authors investigated this hypothesis in three studies, in which they tested participants' ability to make subtle gray-scale discriminations in both ends of the light spectrum. Their findings are published in Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science.
In their first study, 123 college students were presented with sets of rectangles. In each set of four rectangles, one rectangle was either slightly darker or slightly lighter than the others. The participants were asked to indicate which of the four rectangles in each set was different from the other three. After completing the discrimination task, they completed a survey that measured their overall sensitivity to disgust.
In general, the students were better at identifying the rectangle that stood out when the rectangles were presented on the dark end of the visual spectrum. But the researchers observed a significant relationship between participants' performance on the light end of the spectrum and their levels of trait disgust -- people who showed higher sensitivity to disgust also showed better performance on the light end of the spectrum relative to the dark end. Importantly, this effect was specific to disgust, as there was no such relationship between participants' levels of trait fear and their discrimination performance.
These findings were confirmed in a second study, showing that students who reported greater disgust sensitivity were better at distinguishing a faint number set against a background of a nearly identical shade presented on the light end of the visual spectrum relative to the dark end.
Based on these findings, Sherman and his co-authors wondered whether disgust might actively influence what people perceive. Based on the idea of perceptual tuning, they hypothesized that inducing disgust would actually "tune" participants' visual perception, enhancing their ability to discriminate among small deviations in lightness.
In the third study, participants were presented with a slide show of emotional images designed to elicit either disgust (i.e., images of cockroaches, trash) or fear (i.e., images of a handgun, an angry face). They then completed another perceptual discrimination task.
Just as in the first two studies, greater trait disgust predicted better performance on light-end trials relative to performance on dark-end trials. But the emotional images had different effects depending on the participants' disgust sensitivity. For participants who were low on trait disgust, viewing disgusting images seemed to have no effect on their discrimination performance on either end of the spectrum. For participants who were highly sensitive to disgust, however, viewing disgusting images significantly enhanced their performance on light-end trials.
"Research on the experience-altering nature of emotion has typically focused on nonperceptual experience, such as changes in cognitive appraisals. It is clear, however, that these influences extend to perception," the researchers conclude.
Together, the three studies provide evidence for an interactive relationship between disgust sensitivity and perceptual sensitivity that may ultimately help us detect and avoid the germs, toxins, and other contaminants around us.
This research was co-authored by Gerald Clore of the University of Virginia and Jonathan Haidt, who is now at the New York University Stern School of Business.

Many of the players in the energy industry, big and small, have had to deal with the organization of invoices, vehicles, safety tickets, and workplace incidents without a quick and effective way of doing so. Without a streamlined and efficient certificate management tool, the effectiveness of a work site can be constrained. As regulation of workplace safety standards increase, site managers have been forced to endure more severe scrutiny while continuing to use traditional (yet inefficient) methods for organizing and maintaining records. Despite rapid increases in mobile technology and the simplification of similarly complex logistical practices, the energy sector has not been provided with a solution to this problem.
Fatal Work Injuries on the Rise
The increase in attention being paid to these issues is with good reason. With a recently reported 774,611?incidents?across Canada (according to the AWCBC), site managers and higher-ups are recognizing the importance of workplace safety.
In the US, some of the?fatal work injury statistics?are also very frightening, with about 1,500 deaths in the mining, forestry/agriculture, and construction industries alone (2011). From a brass-tax perspective, it is also costly for firms that have to deal with on-site incidents and fatalities. In the US, an estimated $250 billion was spent on dealing with work-related injuries and illnesses, an increase of $33 billion since 1992. These sobering?incident and fatality rates?have lead to an increase in the development of work-site safety tools that help create a safer work environment for workers, managers and anyone visiting an active work-site.
Salus Innovations?is one of the firms that has developed an easy and mobile way to streamline the process for companies maintaining their Certificate of Recognition. Salus has identified the top priorities for work-site safety/efficiency and created a user-friendly and intuitive application for both smartphones and tablets. The Salus mobile application provides site managers with four features that consolidate all aspects of safety and efficiency, including a ticket tracker, a safety feature, an invoicing system, and a maintenance feature.
As the issue of safety becomes more of a concern for business owners, it will be interesting to see how mobile technology steps up as a solution to many of the problems that work-site based firms are facing.
